Loud Bars
"Pubs and bars are too loud - impossible to hold a decent conversation."
Pubs and bars have increasingly become too loud, making it impossible to hold a conversation. Is this a new trend? Has conversation given way to drinking and loud partying as entertainment? It seems that this is absolutely the case as more and more people find it increasingly difficult to socilaize in bars. Maybe this is an engineered experience as bar owners need make more money if groups are not sitting around taking up a table for hours at a time. Perhaps its best to go to a quite restaurant rather than a pub these days in order to find the peace and quite needed for a meaningful conversation.

dalboy18 thinks: Pubs are getting louder and they seem to be getting away from the locals local, I suppose we can choose where to go for a pint and a catch up with the lads but even if you do find a local for a couple generally after 10pm for some reason the publican gets in some form of entertainment to drown you out. It's like it a new rule "No Smoking & No Talking"
justemma thinks: The perfect pub has an open fire, board games and good ales and you go there with friends for a quieter evening. Bars, on the other hand, one usually associates with louder music and as venues for meeting someone of the opposite sex. The two should be kept totally separate, I'd hate to see the traditional pub go in favour of the high-street chain drinkeries with 60% standing room, ear-splitting music and alcopops.
