Exercise and Gaming
"Is home exercise in need of more engaging ways to get people moving? Sports offer a certain level of friendly competition but can take up a great deal of time and effort. Could competition be what we're missing in our home exercise routines?"
Will technology motivate people to exercise more? Decidedly not. Not in the form of competition anyway. trickyskills thinks: A pair of decent trainers are all that you need. Either that or a pair of swimming trunks.
Maven thinks: If I had something as a motivator other than looking in the mirror, it would definitely help my workout routine. I might actually look forward to it. With new motion and proximity detection devices, I'm sure we could emulate just about any real sport. Imagine the possibilities, boxing, tennis, hockey. That would definitely make working out a fun and worthwhile activity and save me a trip to the gym.
