Is, state of art medical technology really affordable to all
"We all want to lead a healthy life and in case of illness, we want quick healthcare treatment. In recent years we have seen quite an advancement in medical technolgies for diagnosis, disease management, etc but in return technology investment is expensive and making treatment for all expensive."
As advancements in medical technology and diagnosis has grown, it is questionable as to whether these technology costs are justified and are ultimately beneficial to a patient. Many times these tests serve only to further prove a doctors initial diagnosis while an unfortunate result is increased healthcare costs. The concern comes when doctors begin to rely on expensive technology rather than their own education and clinical instinct. Most patients would prefer a doctor looking after them rather than a machine, but realize that is is necessary to have expensive technology at times to better diagnose and treat illness.

JBonnin thinks: The problem is when doctors start to rely too much on technology, ending by losing the "clinic eye", the capacity of diagnoses through listening to and examinating the patient carefully. Technology is great, but it does not replace the health professional.
vankuyckg thinks: Progress is great, I'd however broaden the question to affordable as well as necessary... in many cases it appears there is substantial doubt as to whether a certain treatment is actually necessary.

Where "need to" cross into "nice to"... too many "nice to" procedures balloon healthcare cost.
