cathinks: Soon email will die away to instant messaging if it continues to be as complex as it has become, as all the value inherint to it are diminished due to spammers.

How will family bonds of changed by technological impact in 2020
cathinks: It's up to the individual family and culture that generally defines the how close a family is. In the U.S., families usually live great distances away while in South America and parts of Europe families often live together until the children marry. I see it as a social phenomenon, not necessarily a technological one. Technology can only help strengthen this bond, but it cannot create something that is not there to begin with.

Are people becoming less intelligent because of technology?
cathinks: It's not so much not being able to process or remember information, it's more about using that brain ower towards other means. Focusing the capacities of the brain to perform larger, more complex tasks without having to spend valuable resources on the small things.

Do social networking websites make us more social?
cathinks: There can be great value in social networks if used properly. The participants must have something in common and be willing to contribute to the community in order to make it truly successful.
