Simplicity is not about communication alone
dingo thinks: Let's face it, products especially in the computer and electronics categories perform more complex functions than ever before. They have a muiltitude of features. The shift to simplicity, or usability, is the result of this added complexity. If todays products are not simplified, there is no point to their existance as most people will retaliate by not buying complex products. People will always choose to purchase the most intuitive and usable products. Simplicity in the user experience is the future, not just a trend.

Alarm clock hell
dingo thinks: i always buy cheap alarm clocks and then regret it after using it for a week or two, but i refuse to put in the effort or pay an unreasonable amount for an alarm clock with so many features. they would have to be well thought out and easy to use before i spend my hard earned cash.

Does Co Creation Create Better Products?
dingo thinks: design must be a very collaborative effort as we move on into using more complex systems and products, it will be vital to have a level of communication between designers and the potential user in order to make these future products highly usable.

Pricing simplicity
dingo thinks: oh, how nice it would be to not have to carry a pocket full of change. I long for the day when physical money is no longer used. one less thing to keep up with.

Is physical media now absolete?
dingo thinks: i'm curious to see how media will be tranfered in the future. possibly via electronic impulse through the air or memory engrained in standard plastics or product materials.

Can money buy happiness? Are people who earn 2 dollars a day sad?
Dream thinks: I agree largely with JoMo. I see a World full of needless Financial inequity, where some are allowed to have wealth well above basic needs whilst others can't even get enough Money to fulfil Basic Needs. Like it or not it's become a Capitalist and Consumerist World Society and the only Hope for progress towards Enlightenment now is through Capitalism with a Human Face. My Country, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is going in the wrong direction, with the Poorest having even less opportunity than hitherto to improve our lot, whilst we Live in some Middle Class Consumerist Fairyland where those with no Cash are looked down upon.

Can money buy happiness? Are people who earn 2 dollars a day sad?
JoMo thinks: I agree that happiness is a state of mind, but there is much more to happiness than basic shelter, food, and love. Life is about accomplishments and achieving goals. It's about learning and sharing that knowledge, becoming a better person as a result. I don't see money as the end goal, but in most instances money is the result of hard work and need to succeed. There are many different views on how much is too much. Most Americans want more than they really need while people in India may use less than they actually deserve. Money is not the root of everything, but it is a measure of success and let's you know that you are accomplishing something. There's no point in living day to day when you can provide for yourself and your family well into the future with the security of having money saved away.

Alarm clock hell
badmojo thinks: It's amazing that such a simple device that is really, in most cases, a necessity is not designed around the needs of the user. There are very inexpensive ways to incorporate these unique features without adding a tremendous amount of additional cost.

Alarm clock hell
Dream thinks: I have two cheap plastic Alarm Clocks that I bought from a Charity Shop for £1.49 each. If I have a Job, or have to get up early for any other reason, I set both Clocks. If the Battery fails in one the other one still works :P

Does Co Creation Create Better Products?
badmojo thinks: There's no doubt that the best ideas generally come from collaboration and what better collaboration that the user and the designer. Designers often see their own perspective and rarely are allowed the opportunity to interact with a product in a way that is different from their own. A variety of user's feedback could be invaluable to the design of new products when design is such a vital art of the user experience.

poolmeister thinks: Whether you like it or not, it's money that makes the world go 'round. Money is opportunity. It is a capitalist notion, but it's an idea that much of the world has come to embrace. Money will not buy you happiness, but it can buy you freedom to do the things you want to do. Living on what you need is sustainable, but what happens when you are injured and need to care for a family. It is necessary at times to have excess saving for emergency situation like these.

Alarm clock hell
itssimple thinks: Oh how nice it would be to have a WiFi based clock. No more worries about changing time or having the correct time. It would know when the weekends were so as not to set off the alarm. Maybe even give you the local weather and traffic updates while you're getting ready for work in the morning.

Does Co Creation Create Better Products?
jk thinks: Ideas come from inspiration from users and corporations. Corporations can reap rewards and withstand the cost of failures. Few individuals can afford or want to do the same. So, corporations could offer shared reward programmes. The corporate contribution is the investment in the idea life cycle. Each party will protect the intellectual property of other other. Simple contracts will be created to do this. Trust will re-surface; man will walk on the sun ; it will be a holiday everyday; and there will be a cure for the common cold. Perhaps this site sponsor can prove that this is achievable and that sniffly noses are past. But, I will not throw away my handkerchief just yet.... but I would like to...

Does Co Creation Create Better Products?
deisel thinks: It's the best of both worlds. Corporations make the right product for the market and customers get the product that they want in terms of features.

Does Co Creation Create Better Products?
Aos thinks: Co creation is an excellent, low-cost way for companies to both create products based heavily on user feedback and for customers to provide insights that allow companies to produce products that they want and need. It's the ultimate in product creation, a win/win situation for all.
