Are traffic lights dangerous?
englishdanny thinks: I agree that roundabouts both slow down traffic and put the onus for safety upon the driver. I live in the Netherlands and the place is full of traffic-lights! In residential areas, (many with 30kph-20mph approx.), use of the, "rule of right", (exactly the same as the rules of right-of-way for roundabouts) and various traffic interrupters work well and because bicycles always have the right of way the driver must pay attention and drive carefully with due consideration for all other road-users and pedestrians. The problem with roundabouts is that they take up far more ground-area than a set of traffic-lights making them impractical as a replacement especially in built-up or high-density dwelling areas. Incidentally, roundabouts are a British invention. Most of the traffic management systems in the Netherlands are indigenous but they "Imported" this idea from Britain. Maybe we should have a closer look at their systems for use in the UK?

Does Co Creation Create Better Products?
englishdanny thinks: I agree. A service provider or product designer gets the best possible idea of how they evolve their "Product" by getting this feedback from actual users. Widespread Internet usage now gives business this this tool and Internet usage is growing rapidly.

Business Benefit
englishdanny thinks: Opinion: Simplicity is what everybody wants, but in society this remains unstated at present. Check out some of the most successful products. Take a look at an iPod nano a superbly simple design or a Tom-tom that makes driving around simpler and less stressing. Why are these products so successful? Because they offer simple and easy solutions to people without them having to read a set of instructions the size of the Da vinci code! Theres some great products out there, very clever but how long will you have to study before you can use all the features? In general the people that are the shortest on time are the busy people who work hard. Give this group simplicity and you'll be onto a winner.

Is cash necessary anymore?
englishdanny thinks: Evolution not revolution: I suppose when cash became what it is through evolution it was pretty hi-tech compared to the barter system it replaced. I mean, imagine having to drag three chickens and a ferret to the local market just because you need a bag of potatoes! Cash was the answer. Basically a commodity exchange system that made life more convenient for everyone. Opinion:A cashless society will probably come but not until the present alternatives evolve further and banks become less greedy.

Are email & text communication encouraging people to talk less?
englishdanny thinks: It all boils down to: Do you prefer your communications to be hard copy (As in face-to-face) or would you instead use the latest technology. I am a plastererer working in Holland, I ask people to text me adresses so that I can enter it into my GPS. Then I can see my arrival time and also how much it will cost me to go there. Although I do agree that there is no substitute for the former. Perhaps a mix of the two?

Does Co Creation Create Better Products?
Aos thinks: Co creation is an excellent, low-cost way for companies to both create products based heavily on user feedback and for customers to provide insights that allow companies to produce products that they want and need. It's the ultimate in product creation, a win/win situation for all.

Does Co Creation Create Better Products?
deisel thinks: It's the best of both worlds. Corporations make the right product for the market and customers get the product that they want in terms of features.

RSS, not so simple syndication?
Geek1 thinks: The idea of RSS is great. My take on it is that we are in the early stages of seeing how this technology will be used. It may turn into a sort of on-demand service or it may become a new form of information exchange where you pick and choose the information you want, in a sense, creating your own information portal. RSS may be trendy and difficult to understand now, but I think it's the beginning of something that will revolutionize the way we receive information.

RSS, not so simple syndication?
innov8 thinks: I agree, RSS is not simple and I'd much prefer to see a full web page with images. I know it's used in mobile devices and with feed readers, but I'm not sure how this applies to me. How is this easier than viewing a web page. I assume that it's the idea of syndication that is the draw. I can subscribe to different feeds and read through them quickly, but I still find it 'not so simple'. I do, however, think this is the next evolution of email marketing. I can see companies using RSS feeds to target market individuals based on their preferences.

Business Benefit
JBonnin thinks: Maybe customers don´t rate simplicity as a key decision criteria consciously... but one does not invest in what is not understood. If this very common statement was not true, we would all invest in the stockmarket.

Is cash necessary anymore?
lonewolf thinks: I Don't like the idea of credit card's lke other's have said your wide open to identity fraud and theft, it's a lot easier for someone to obtain another's person's bank detail's and basically bleed them dry,I have seen what can happen with credit card's and it's not nice at all. I myself would never have one let alone be given one i have alwqy's paid for thing's with cash it's what i,m used to and no way am i gonna change to a credit card no thnx, i mean i,ve been in shop's where a person pay's for a packet of cigarette's with a credit card, i mean comeon that's ridiculus, all you need is a bit of loose change and your in and out,i have also seen people only pay for a few item's with a credit card when there is a que in the shop.It take's longer to pay for stuff using a credit card than it doe's using cash,if that's the case why not have seperate till's for people who use them and leave the que's for those like to use cash.

Watering plants.
Maven thinks: If you want plants, take care of them. Caring for plants as with anything that is living takes care and nurturing. you wouldn't autmatically feed your goldfish or dog would you?

Watering plants.
ssp thinks: I can't stand house plants even though I love nature/plants. Plants should be where they belong: outside.
